12:31pm CDT on April 30, 2010 - Our Level 3 internet connection dropped causing a slight disruption to internet traffic while internet BGP routing moved the traffic onto redundant paths as designed. We immediately opened a ticket with Level 3 and after troubleshooting with them they discovered they had a hardware malfunction involving our circuit. At 3:19pm Level 3 had restored service to the circuit and at 4pm we reactivated our BGP session and traffic is once again flowing across Level 3.
